Devoted to performance practices of the baroque through contemporary time periods, Quartet Salonnières shares a passion for string quartet repertoire on period instruments with gut strings!

THREE NATIONS, FOUR PARTS

Quartet Salonnières explores the earliest era of string quartets. Featuring works by three composers on the cusp of the Baroque-Classical transition - one French, one Austrian, and one Italian - this concert is a portal into the multi-national birth of what would become one of classical music’s most venerated forms.

Featuring music by Boccherini, Corrette, and Pleyel
